ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Jennifer Tribe. I’m a business writer and editor with a mission: help companies cut the marketing junk and speak plain English.

My specialty is clear, simple and conversational writing. No doubt I’ve been influenced by my journalism training, where I was taught the discipline of spare writing that still packs a powerful information punch.

Over the years, I’ve sharpened my skills working on hundreds of business writing and editing projects, from brochures and websites to magazine articles and non-fiction books.

I write three blogs. There’s the one here at Clear Prose, where I blog about effective business communication. I also blog at Highspot: that one’s about capturing your business expertise in knowledge products, like books. And last, just for fun, I write about vintage advertising over at Yesterday’s Clues.

You might know me already. This website is a new face for Clear Prose Communications, a company I founded back in 2001. For the last few years, my attention has been focused almost exclusively on Highspot, where I’m a co-founder and partner. For a while, I also ran Juiced Consulting, though that company was merged into Highspot. Now that Highspot is running well, I have time once again to take on new Clear Prose clients.

What about you? Let’s connect. My favourite online hangout is Twitter: @jennifertribe. Say hi and let me know who you are. You’ll also find me on LinkedIn. Who do we know in common?
